A 17th century working watermill set in 240 acres of tranquil country park, Worsbrough Mill is a unique and special place.
With great views, a large mill pond and an abundance of nature and wildlife, Worsbrough Mill is the perfect location for a range of events including outdoor education and teambuilding events, music events, as well as fairs and shows. It provides a picturesque country backdrop on the edge of Barnsley that could easily be a film set for a Thomas Hardy novel.
Today Worsbrough Mill is carrying on the tradition of stone grinding flour using traditional water-power methods. Using the best quality organic grains sourced from the UK, we create premium quality artisan flours. Our organic flours are carefully created to meet the needs of the discerning baker using traditional production methods and machinery that dates back to the 18th century.
Plenty of onsite parking is available as well as a café with an outdoor terrace and a mill shop selling the full range of organic flour produced on site. Tours and experience days can be arranged and included as part of your event if required and the wider site is available to hire for events as well as for filming and photoshoots.
Worsbrough Mill is particular interest to production companies looking for a location relating to flour and baking, or unspoilt historical buildings with plenty of space in which to film.
