Explore Elsecar, handle objects and see the magnificent Newcomen Beam Engine in action in this full or half day STEM workshop.
In this course, pupils will learn about different materials used at Elsecar now and in the past and create their own piece of art inspired by industrial materials, will identify and name a variety of everyday materials, including wood, plastic, glass, metal, water and rock, will describe the simple physical properties of everyday materials and will use a range of art materials creatively to design and make products.
