Sublime Symmetry (Outreach) - Full or Half Day Workshop
£4.50 half day/£8.50 full day per pupil
Let us bring a creative twist to your Maths Curriculum by introducing your class to the angles, shapes and symmetry in the work of Victorian ceramic artist William De Morgan.
Pupils will use protractors and compasses and finish the session by using maths to design their own artwork. This session is perfect for recapping geometry topics.
Pupils will recognise angles as a property of a shape, identify lines of symmetry in 2-D shapes and learn about the work of a range of artists, craft makers and designers.
It allowed children to explore different mathematical concepts and relate them to art. A very enjoyable session that links very well to what Ofsted is looking for, especially with deep dives.
