Elsecar Village Tour 29th September

Join us for a fascinating history tour of the Earl's industrial village and find out how Elsecar developed from a small collection of farms in the 1700s to a bustling mix of collieries, ironworks, workshops and workers' houses by the middle of the 19th century. Hear about some of the exciting archaeology that has been done as part of the Elsecar Heritage Action Zone too.
The route includes uneven ground and road walking. Please wear appropriate footwear. The tour starts at the Visitor Centre at 2pm, on Wednesday 29 September. The tour will be socially distanced, cost £8 per person and lasts approximately two hours. The tour should be booked and paid for in advance, by popping into the Visitor Centre or calling 01226 740203.
