Ancient Egypt: Cleopatra and the Queens of Egypt
£190 per class half day
Explore the world of Ancient Egypt and discover more about Cleopatra's incredible life and legacy.
In this workshop pupils will:
- Understand the importance of Cleopatra and where she fits into Egyptian history
- Learn more about Ancient Egyptian daily life
- Learn more about the Ancient Egyptian Gods, Goddesses and belief systems
- Explore and handle replica objects as well as seeing real collection items
- Take part in hands on activities such as making an Egyptian animal statue, identifying different Egyptian scents, making a hieroglyph bookmark and playing Senet the Egyptian board game
- Learn about what an archaeologist does
- Explore the Cleopatra and the Queens of Egypt exhibition
(This workshop is available from March 2026 - February 2027, for the duration of the Cleopatra and the Queens of Egypt exhibition)
This half day workshop is suitable for one class (maximum 36 pupils) - if you would like to bring two classes on the same day we can accomodate this through a morning and afternoon session. Please ask for further details.
