Pour a hot chocolate, open a box of mince pies and celebrate Christmas virtually with Barnsley Museums. Watch films from the archives, singalong with the Barnsley Museums Christmas concert and get that fuzzy nostalgic feeling with photos of #BarnsleyChristmas from days gone by.

Make sure you're following us on social media where we will be sharing more festive memories and counting down to Christmas with a festive jigsaw challenge

12 Days of Christmas

For Christmas 2022 we've recorded a new video in Makaton. It's inspired by objects from our collections relating to the twelve days of Christmas, between Christmas and new year we'll be sharing more details about on our social media channels.

Last year we did a series of videos linked to the 12 Days of Christmas where we explored Eldon Street stories

Barnsley Museums Christmas Concert

It feels like a lifetime ago now but in 2020 we premiered a festive concert featuring music, poetry and spoken word filmed across all our venues, which you can now watch on YouTube

We've put together an album of Christmas cards from our collections. See more here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/barnsleymuseums/albums/72177720303897973

Are you thinking of donating to charity instead of buying cards this year? Why not support the work of Barnsley Museums and Heritage Trust? www.bmht.org
