Fusion: Barnsley's Local Cultural Educational Partnership
Fusion was established in response to Arts Council England’s (ACE) October 2015 Cultural Education Challenge. The group was formally established with support from IVE, Yorkshire and the Humber’s Arts Council England Bridge organisation in May 2017.
At the core of Fusion’s purpose is the fundamental principle that every child in Barnsley has an opportunity to access high quality arts, heritage, cultural and creative education and experiences. We advocate the value of the arts, culture and creativity and working collectively to deliver a cohesive offer across the borough.
The partnership brings together Barnsley’s cultural and education sectors with the goal of reaching all children and young people through a borough-wide cultural education strategic approach.
Visit the Fusion website for more information and details about current projects.
Creative Careers
Fusion’s Creative Careers project aims to broaden the horizons of children at primary schools, through increased awareness of the wealth of exciting career opportunities available in the creative, cultural and heritage sectors.
We've been asking the Barnsley Museums team about their jobs and tips for working in museums.
