Victorian Kitchen - Full Day Workshop

£280 per class full day

The workshop

Your pupils will transform into Victorian servants for the day as they become immersed in history to help our Cook and Housekeeper prepare for the Master’s party.

They will learn how to welcome rich guests, have a go at hands on activities, and use Cannon Hall’s Victorian kitchen to prepare soup, crumble and sugar mice - a real treat for all occasions.

  • Pupils will learn about significant people, places and events in their locality after 1066
  • Pupils will make a local history study.

Please note that a minimum of 6 adults is required for this trip to ensure adequate supervision for all activities. This can include parents and carers.

This workshop is suitable for one class (maximum 36 pupils) - if you'd like to bring two classes please ask us about our half day option for £160 per class with adapted activities.

It’s really fun because it helps you learn about history

Accessibility information for Cannon Hall can be found here - including a 360 tour of the Hall, visual stories and photographs to help plan your visit.

There is a ‘Space to Change’ toilet at Cannon Hall. This does not meet the dimension requirements of a Changing Places but includes a hoist and changing table.

We are happy to help and make any adjustments we can for a range of access needs, please contact us before your visit to discuss this.
