Barnsley Archives & Local Studies, Town Hall, S70 2TA, Tuesday 28 October-Thursday 15 January (Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, (during opening hours)

To celebrate the forthcoming 10-year anniversary of Barnsley Museums and Heritage Trust, Barnsley Archives have created a display which will showcase some of the items that have been purchased or conserved thanks to the generous donations of supporters of the Trust. Barnsley Museums & Heritage Trust is a fundraising charity founded in 2015 to help preserve, enhance and champion the borough’s heritage for the future.

The display cases will include a volume of 15 original pen and ink plans of Barnsley drawn by Francis Kendray in 1800, a colourised print of the Oaks Mining Disaster and a Hoyland Common Co-Op Commemorative trowel along with other documents and objects of interest. You will be able to see the display in the reception area of Barnsley Archives and Local Studies.
