Bells and Whistles
From singing canaries, special codes communicated through ringing bells and hand cranked telephones that could work even if all power was lost, sound has played a really important role in coal mines for hundreds of years.
Find out about innovative inventions from the past and have a go at some super sound experiments yourself in this interactive and hands on workshop.
Places are limited and booking is essential. £5 per child. No booking required for an accompanying adult.
